-3c- Parkinson’s Disease for Dummies

It is all very well to use the precise language of science to communicate regarding scientific matters with other scientists. But that rarefied vocabulary is ineffective in communicating with the average patient. For that reason, I have chosen to add this section of plain talk. I hope that it proves useful.

Parkinson’s Disease is, primarily, an inflammatory response. This can come from normal aging as the immune defenders grow older. This is known as “Senior Onset” and is the “Classic” version of PD.

A second, and far more complex, version can come from a much earlier exposure to inflammatory bacterial toxins when still in the womb. Most cases fall between.
